Kate Azevedo

Counsel and Director of Strategic Partnerships

Before joining NSLDN, Kate worked within the Network Advancement division at the American Constitution Society. Her role involved outreach to coalition partners and legal stakeholders, including state and federal judges, state attorneys general, law school faculty and students. Prior to that, Kate worked as a research analyst at a Wall Street Firm focusing on financial services products, securitization and financial regulators during the 2008 Financial Crisis. This experience inspired her to enroll in law school to become a change maker for income inequality.

Kate earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. Prior to law school, she served as a policy analyst in the Financial Markets Community Investment division at the Government Accountability Office. Kate also has MA from the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. She received her B.A. in government and economics from the University of Texas. Kate is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C.
