Last week we had our very first coast-to-coast outreach. DefendStudents.org was active in both California and Florida, reaching over 6,000 students with the truth about Muhammad.

We had a very successful maiden launch of our Defend Students campaign in South Florida. The school that we targeted is called Blanche Ely High School, located in Pompano Beach, Florida. The reason this school was singled out was because of the controversial mosque that is being constructed near the school. The school is predominately African-American, and they are being proselytized by the Muslims.

A team of about fifteen Christian patriots of various denominational backgrounds participated in the outreach and it was very exciting. We were very well received. Of course there were a few exceptions where Muslims were frustrated by what we were communicating, but they could not refute it.

We were able to distribute hundreds of flyers and protect these vulnerable students from being radicalized by Islam. Click here to view the flyers.

EDUCATING THE CITY OF POMPANO

In keeping with our standard operating procedures, the day before the event we gave prior notification to all of the respective authorities, starting with the principal of the school, the school board, the city council, the city attorney, etc. Upon receiving our notification, Dr. Cass was contacted by Pompano’s city attorney. He told Dr. Cass that it was necessary for the group to acquire a permit before they were able to distribute flyers on the sidewalk in front of the public school. Dr. Cass informed him that, in fact, that is not the case and that the First Amendment protected our right to peacefully distribute our literature. Eventually he relented.

In the letter we asked the police to meet with Dr. Cass fifteen minutes before the event so that they could be aware of our concerns, visa-vi public safety. Unfortunately the police did not comply with our request.

After the event had been in progress, five police cars abruptly arrived and a Senior Officer told us that we had to leave because we did not have a permit. Because we know our rights, we instructed the officer that he was wrong and that we were not going to leave. As a result he radioed his sergeant who arrived a few minutes later, and thankfully the sergeant understood the law and told us that we continue our efforts.

We are grateful for the opportunity, not only to defend students by telling them the truth about Muhammad and Islam, but for the opportunity to defend our First Amendment rights in the face of ill-informed governmental interference.

NORCO HIGH SCHOOL

In California, a DefendStudents.org team was quickly and easily able to educate students and law enforcement officials. One of the interesting things about this particular school was the way in which the police and school administrators responded. Once they saw the materials they were captivated and apparently supportive of what we were saying. The students were shown what Muhammad, the perfect Muslim, did. We were able to call on the Muslim Brotherhood to explain the outrageous lifestyle of Muhammad, but no one is willing to respond to our requests.

A handful of people, even senior citizens, can reach thousands of young people with the Gospel and the truth about Muhammad in less than thirty-minutes. If you are interested in doing this in your own community, we are willing to help you.

In, the end, through all of our efforts we were able to share the Gospel with 6,000 students in California and in Florida. Telling the truth about Muhammad as given us the perfect opportunity to talk about Christ.
